Isaiah 43:19 declares, "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." This powerful verse reminds us that God is always at work, even when we can’t yet see the outcome. When life feels like a wilderness, barren and dry, God is already preparing something new—a path through the uncertainty and refreshment for our weary souls.
God’s promise to do a new thing means we don’t have to rely on what we’ve always known or how things have been. He is not limited by the circumstances we see. When life feels confusing or stagnant, He is quietly working to make a way, bringing life to areas that feel empty. Just as streams can appear in wastelands, God brings hope and renewal in the most unexpected places.
But it’s not enough to just wait passively. God asks us, “Do you not perceive it?” He wants us to open our eyes and hearts to the new things He is doing. This requires faith, trusting that even in the wilderness, He is faithful to guide us through.
So today, trust that God is making a way for you. Look for the new things He is doing in your life—opportunities to grow, to love, and to reflect His goodness. His streams of grace are flowing, even when you feel dry. Embrace His work and believe that He is bringing new life to your path.
